Over the course of my career, I have developed a unique and specialised insight into governance frameworks and secretarial systems. These experiences manifest themselves in the actions I take at Ebonstone and the work I undertake with clients, ranging from developing and implementing company secretarial systems of support, to data protection and HR advice.

Being adaptable and flexible is also something I pride myself on, and it’s this nature that enables me to work efficiently with organisations across industries and at different stages of their journey. This ensures that no matter how large an organisation may be, they can still access the relevant skills and expertise they need, when they need it.

Most importantly, my aim is to ensure every organisation I work with succeeds in what they do.

Judith Barrass

Partner

I’m driven by the philosophy that your work should fulfil and complement your life, not dominate or challenge it. With this in mind then, the work I do is driven to help organisations establish a work and life balance for all partners and stakeholders.

Having worked in multiple company secretarial positions, I have seen first-hand how important management and communication can be for the working lives of members across an organisation. The degree of understanding I have taken from my experiences inspired me to establish Ebonstone in order to work with like-minded individuals that want to find balance whilst achieving their full potential.

I act closely with organisations to assist and develop a range of company secretarial positions, governance and legal compliance so that they can get the most out of what they do, whilst also ensuring that all systems are operating in the best interests of individual team members and the overall company’s goal.

Helen Watkins

Company Secretarial Assistant

I joined the Ebonstone team in 2016, having worked briefly with Marie-Claire before, and came on board to support Ebonstone’s internal systems and provide administrative and company secretarial support to both Marie-Claire and Judith.

Prior to this I acted in a personal assistant capacity for a number of clients and take great care and pleasure organising and can be very resourceful and react quickly to the needs of the business.

I now also provide direct client support and enjoy the benefits of working with a flexible and forward-thinking organisation that believes in providing a high standard of service alongside a good work and life balance.

Good communication and personal skills are essential in this role and I enjoy liaising with external parties and helping our client’s move their businesses forward.
